Born in London in 1989 and now based in the United States, Max Esmail is a designer whose work sits at the intersection of innovation and timeless craftsmanship. A graduate of Central St. Martins and the Fashion Institute of Technology, Max honed his skills through tenures with Tim Coppens and under the expert guidance of a master tailor at Michael Andrews Bespoke.

 

With this solid foundation, Max founded Chance NYC, an agency known for collaborating with prestigious clients such as LVMH, Hennessy, Belvedere, Moët, Glenmorangie, Andrew Yang, and OHTNYC. Chance NYC is a reflection of his dedication to design excellence and creative partnerships.

 

Max’s design philosophy is deeply influenced by his diverse background, including his time as a professional snowboarder. His approach artfully balances complexity and simplicity, drawing inspiration from cinema, music, nightlife, politics, and the broader cultural landscape. He believes in the power of character, crafting collections that carry depth, emotion, and personality to tell compelling stories.

 

In 2024, Max launched his eponymous brand, “Max Esmail,” with a clear vision: to redefine the industry and create the most sought-after menswear label. Driven by his passion for storytelling and innovation, Max continues to push the boundaries of design, delivering pieces that resonate with sophistication and individuality.
